The future is indeed orange and there is no doubt in the minds of all right thinking young people that Raila represents real change for Kenya, a real paradigm shift and practical approach to all the problems that bedevil our country.
Through ODM we see a united Kenya – a country where all are equal irrespective of tribe, color or upbringing.
The potential of Kenyan youth is like a bottle of champagne, shaken but not released. The Raila presidency will indeed ensure that this potential is released and the youth are given chance to participate in development of the beloved country Kenya, not tokenism in the name of “youth fund”.
We, the youth, need a participatory government. I envision this being possible only through ODM and the youth must play a major role in ensuring that the ODM dream becomes a reality by voting in large numbers.
The youth must refuse to be used by unscrupulous politicians to cause chaos during this electioneering period. They will come with money, weapons and threats but in the long run all that will not add value to our lives. We have to remain focused and peaceful; humble yet uncompromising.
The time for the youth to be told “you are the leaders of tomorrow” is gone! Our time is now.

  2. Phillipo Ondako Maina says:

ANY YOUTH READING THIS SHOULD SPREAD THE MESSAGE TO ATLEAST 100 OTHER YOUTH.
1.RAILA ANSWERS THE QUEST FOR GENERATIONAL CHANGE,WE HAVE TO BREAK FROM THE PRECOLONIAL ERA LEADERS.
2.RAILA’S TEAM HAVE YOUTH;RUTO,BALALA,MAGARA,GACHOKA,WEYA ,KHALIF,AND EVEN MUSALIA ALSO NYAGA IS NOT 60 YET(THE FEW OLD MEN LIKE NTIMAMA ARE FOR BLENDING.COMPARE THIS TO NYACHAE,MICHUKI,AWORI,KARUME,MWAKWERE,KOMBO,KOECH,MAALIM MOHAMMED,YUSSUF HAJI.MUNYAO,SAITOTI AND MOI(AKINA TUJU,MUNGATANA AND NDILE ARE THE BLENDERS)

  3. BONAYA OF ISIOLO says:

Youths from greater North Frontier Districts [Isiolo, Marsabit, and Moyale] have already decided and assured the old guards that we are 100.5 percent behind people’s president. It’s only Agwambo who will rescue us from 40+ years of suffering and persecution. They want to convince us that Agwambo is unelectable or not trusted with leadership of this country while they have deliberately persecuted us for half a century, imagine!!!…. or may be they were not aware that in 21st century kenyans are tired of tribalism and unworthless rhetoric, or business as usual as empty mind is devils workshop. Anyway, come january 2008 “our journey to state house is unstoppable”.

Agwambooo, we love you and we know the only leader who fought for the rights of common, poor, marganalized, and forgotten kenyan is you. Already the name of people’s president is in the heart of our people and we are only waiting for D-DAY to free our country from sea of corruptions, tribal goons, and colonial leaders.

    GOD BLESS AGWAMBO.

PNU/Kibaki is now dishing out youth funds. Let it be clear that this is not cash from his pocket but an initiative of the NARC rainbow movement, like all other economic reforms being talked about (the so called development record) i.e do not be fooled, its tax payers funds and an ODM govt will ensure more prosperity fro not just the youth but all Kenyans.

Also lets do away with this myth of development record and economic growth. Yes there have been some marginal gains but Let it be very clear that Kenya was going down hill under Kenyatta and Moi regimes. The 2nd liberation needed to remove all those Kanu die hards and sycophants who could not think for themselves without approval from the big man. After this removal, kenyans and the economy could begin the patth to recovery. Remember that even when being run down, the hard work of kenyans made us still able to survive. It is insincere to claim this as Kibakis effort. THis was just the first phase and unfortunatley he has let alll down by not tackling the main issues he was supposed to, besides blindsiding all the honorable leaders and citizen who fought for the 2nd liberation by reneging on the MOU, not taking any significant step to fight corruption and even worse bringing in non-reofrmists back through the back-door.

Surprisingly Biwott (total man) is quoted as saying Kibaki should be releceted because he has revamped the economy in a short time. The mind boggles. Wasn’t he the same one who for 24 years insisted that Moi govt had stable economic policies and was thriving.

  6. Tony Wanyama says:

    THIS IS TO RAILA
WE LOVE YOU.MY SIMPLE ADVICE SIR

1.REIGN IN ON YOUR LUO SUPPORTERS TO GO EASY AFTER RALLIES..ITS GOOD MUDAVADI DID THIS AT UHURU PARK..LET THIS BE THE CALL AT ALL YOUR RALLIES..FOR YOUR SUPPORTERS TO BE SOBER..OTHERWISE YOU WILL SCARE VOTERS AWAY
2.THE GAME IS YOUR TO LOOSE.BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU SAY NOW..ALARMING REMARKS ABOUT DETAINING PEOPLE WILL ALSO SCARE VOTES FROM SOME COMMUNITIES AWAY..BE VERY CAREFUL OF YOUR UTTERANCES..PLEASE..

OTHERWISE..GOD BLESS YOU AND GIVE YOU VICTORY

  7. Shaq Omaya- Frankfurt Germany says:

Wazi Wazi, hawa wazee wamesosi sana, Kama Moi baado anapewa job ati peace keeper southern sudan that does mean we dont have vijanas who can do the job. Secondly Wanyama Tony you are very right. Luos should go a little bit easy on this matter. But most of his supporters you saw at Uhuru park, are those die hard supporters from Kibera who drink changaa first b4 they attend his rally, in Kisumu you will get them in Nyalenda and Kibuye . One rotten potatoe cant make the whole sack unworthy. Just vote as a fellow kenyan who wants change and come 2012 Raila will say Mudavadi Tosha!!!! You will still see those guys(from Kibera) coming to Mudavadis Rallies singing and praising Mudavadi!! remember they threw stones to Moi (2002 uhuru park) when Kibaki came on power and were singing in praise of Kibaki.

  8. Phillipo Ondako Maina says:

    HEY NASH DONT MISQUOTE ME.

  9. Moses Aboka says:

That’s very much possible considering how employees of this so called goverment have harrased the youths, hawkers and those idlers within town.

Raila also have got the sense of humour and fashion that appeals to the youths we feel closer to him that some of the presidential candidates. Besides being the only “jogoo wa mjini” wht do you expect.

Now he needs to make advantage of that and quote several issues that are affecting the youths include them in your manifesto if possible. Youths are just crazy about sports speak about it…He should also speak about what plans he has for sportmen and die hard funs.

And always remember to include security as a priority…Nfact he has done this.

I’m also willing to join the Vijana Na Raila 07 Lobby group…Can u please advise how to go about it..

  13. Duncan says:

    Dear Tony Wanyama,
I read your comments and I must say that what you give with one hand, you swiftly take away with the other!!!
My advice to the team captain would be to ignore your advice totally.
    1. The ODM is not a luo outfit.it is a party with a national outlook. The people who attend these ralllies are representative of the nation, not luos or luoland.therefore i fail to understand which luo supporters you want to be reigned in.Yes,the man may have a luo following, but he also has following among the luhyia, the nandi mijikenda and so on.check the steadman poll. Why do you not ask him to reign these ones in also. When Mr Musyoka was in Mombasa and was heckled,it was said that it was the luo supporters of the current ODM captain. However when he went to Busia he was heckled by ODM supporters.so who heckled him?Does the distinction get clerarer for you?The team captain needs the national vote more than he needs the luo vote at this point. This country is to big to confine oneself to such thoughts
    2. what is it that Mudavadi did at Uhuru Park?I was there. It was peaceful,it went well.the ODM support and turnout was great. They came to listen to their leaders from all over, not to take instructions from any one person but to listen to the team that was there. It was not a one man show like you would like us to believe
    3. You have raised a serious implication in your second point and that is support from communities will only be there for as long as their sons and daughters tainted or suspected of corruption are not properly tried.
Yet I am sure that even you feel short changed by the numerous commissions of inquiries that end up running rings and beating logic.
If evidence points at anyone for having engaged in corrupt practice then they deserve to be tried.be informed that this is not a witch hunt.
I urge the captain to say what he must say because this issues affect all of us in one way or the other, case in point the Artur saga. The captain has proved from time to time his inability to shy away from pressing issues on mwanachi’s behalf.my advice to him would be to continue.

you sir have exhibited a complex which we should all shy away from…bigotry.
this is not a luo affair.this is a country’s effort to free itself from such thoughts, whereby some people feel inferior or try to potray others negatively or inferior to others or even refer to them in a derogative manner.that is not the future we are trying to craft here, especially at this moment of struggle.
