  1. Moses says:

There’s a nice way to do this, but you must be wise enough to exclude hatred in while assasinating your character. It also doesnt work so well while you demonstrate fear while assasinating your character. But it can work well by informing people how unworthy that said person is, just as in movies, charaters are being assasinated if the part they were playing doesnt have any meaning in the script.

  2. Duncan says:

Muck racking and character assasination is a way of life for every politician at at a time like this.Since the opponents have put the propaganda machinery to work on overtime,I suggest we do what we must to counter that machinery by spreading facts to all corners.lets beat them at their own game on their own topics, plus more of our own based on fact.I am suggesting leaflets and forums and so on,depending on the budget.Lets give them a good fight.

  3. I would like to say the following on character assassination:
One if you see a fellow resorting to character assassination as was observed worldwide from Nyayo national stadium on Sunday during the PNU launch then you know that issuewise the perpetrators are inept and indeed use abusive language because they have lost the battle. Majority of those who are empty skulled make the loudest noise to disrupt and confuse right thinking minds. Surely why would all the big shots in PNU except the sitting president have gone to Nyayo to launch Raila! I thought it was to be about PNU and its manifesto or policies.
Two, while those who said all sorts of bad negative things about Raila thought they were assassinating his character, they indeed exposed their rigidity and laid bare their disrespect for law and order. The President has come out very clear and condemned violence whichever as uncooth, archaic and against the law of the land. If what (Honourable) Nyachae said was not spitting on the president by popularising his barbaric handling of the situation in South Mugirango, what was it? How can Kenyans listen to hearsay and be convinced. If my late Grand mother were alive she might have bought some of those allegations. But even then we would have helped her out.
So gentle man blackmail and character assassination could be ammunition for the vilified’s gun!
As a right thinking and well educated Kenyan, I can assure you that we question even faith because belief must be based on reason.

  4. McJairo of Hiroshima Japan says:

Where I come form they ” Jakuodho oyie dhaw”- Someone translate please! Generally it implies the guilty is ready for a physical fight not ideological (academic). As such when they resorted to launching RAILA, we thank them for 1) not having new agenda for Kenya. 2) Confirming that they are guilty of all that we knew. Did you see someone trying to visit eastern part of Nairobi? A frog Does not jump out in daylight unless it is in real danger, in most cases when it is cornered. Look at the frequency; Visit a widow, creat new districts, turn oneself into a divisinal lands clerk- Actually next year he is welcome to apply for that job- Lands clerk- he has shown that he can do it well. We were wondering what he can do! But the combinstion does not come. He is on his way out, we should not mind their language and etc, they are grasping onto anything now, please keep a safe distance all out there.

I do not know what to do with TUJU! Does he know that TJ tried but the same people he is working for gave TJ a thank you of a lifetime? Does he know that Robert J. Ouko was and remains the best foreign affairs Minister that Kenya has had? Was the most loyal Moi Minister? But only Got Alila can tell the story well? I am really sorry for Raph Tuju. Let him remove the “u” in his name then he will see the coincidence with Mboya, pointer to what is awaiting from his masters now.

Agwambo, keep mum. Do not reply please. They will talk and talk, the more they talk the more they send votes our way. Concentrate on your plan. Identify the areas on concern and concentrate your energy on that. Plan on how we can consolidate 100% of Pwani, RV, NE, Western and 80% Nairobi. That is what matters. Not there attack or talk

Bwana/ Madam Admin let this link reach as many people in your mailing list as possible

    Thanks

  6. Elijah says:

The saying goes…”If you ague with a mad man people will not know the difference”…What they did was shameful for peoople their age but then again we are not surprised…they had no agenda. The best thing our president to be could do is not to even refer to them.

  7. Victoria says:

  8. SAVAN says:

Character assassination is the lamest and most archaic way of campaigning a presidential candidate worth his salt can use.

  9. Patrick .b. says:

Honourable Kenyans,i was keenly waiting to hear what the president of this country had for us but what was there;the Launching of RAILA.What this Men and Women who happen to be Kenyans told us is all the wrongs Raila had done in this country.Starting with the unknown Kioko who nobody wants to know when he was born,to Livondo,Mungatana and the Old guards who for sure have nothing new to offer to the kenyan public. They demonstrated the likes of Mois and Kenyattas chauvanism by propagating tribalistic biases.Kenyans have put them on the spot, there days are numbered and we are soon fishing tghe looters of our cofers out of Parliament. The Man who Raila saved from death, paid for his hospital bill and flight to London, the man who Raila spent hie unselfish energy to campaighn for from his very pocket sat listening and smiling keenly.I watched with disbelief as this politicians were watering down Kibakis last efforts to paint a National picture of himself. That was the National picture Moi keeps refering to,those are the National leaders according to Moi who Kenyans are supposed to elect, this are the visionary leaders(moi, nyachae, kibaki etc)who Kenyans are supposed to emulate, leaders who’ve never bothered to add a kilomeeter of rail on ehat ewas constructed in the 18th century, this are the leaders Moi is propagating as he dishes buses and other goodies.MOI,that is our money, cant you remember what Kiraitu told you?today you ea5t in the same plate with those who are corrupt just the way you were. The time and hour of reckoning has come.

  10. teejay says:

Well, Indeed PNU’s Launch, sorry rally was one of the saddest things ever to happen to this beloved nation in recent times. That we saw old men and women display vitriolic characters was shameful to say the least. Thinking that their common denominator- wanton attack on the Lang’ata MP- made him less popular is to dig the grains of the sand using one’s head. Indeed many will want to see this “villain”, but alas! the famous villain (thanks to PNU) will woe the electorate with utmost expertise and win them over. So much for the Pumbavu Na Ujinga party

I was glued to the TV to hear what would come out the event but sadly after the whole affair I deduced the following as i have also posted elsewhere and text my friends.

    The even was called:-

    1. To discuss Steadman’s Opinion Polls
    2. To Bash Raila
    3. Confirmation of perpetuity of political dominance of Nyumba ya Mumbi.
    4. To Declare of Electoral violence
    5. To initiate Hate Campaign
    6.To initiate unfounded propaganda
    7. Political Incitement
    8. To display that Old leadership is stagnant and bankrupt of sound Ideals
    9. To display that it is dangerous for young minds to follow blindly old chauvinists.
    10. To flaunt that PNU can also draw (purchased)crowds that fill up stadias.

Having seen all this, I made up mind that these are indeed the Vision, Mission and Manifesto of PNU.

I thus chanted within my heart Vote ODM, Vote PENTAGON, Vote RAILA, Vote a JUICY FUTURE.

    God be with him.

  11. J. Ogwel says:

The PNU launch that turned out to be a Rila’s was an insult to Kenyans.
It was a clear testimony that the bunch in Kibaki’s government is drunk with power, and that PNU is nothing, but a confused grouping of individuals out to retain the status quo, without any agenda for Kenyans. When the Nyachaes, Kombos, Mwakweres and Livondos deviate from the agenda of the day to throw pebbles at Raila, they forget that even the freedom they enjoy in such a forum is as a result of the spirited fight against the oppressive past regimes by the Railas. They shout their voices hoarse telling us how the August 82 coup killed 1500 people but they can’t explain to us what led to it.

The reason here is simple; they have no courage to give details, for they are the very people who master mined the bills that turned Kenya into a one party state by law in 1982, thereby denying citizens the right to participate fully in managing their affairs. It is therefore silly for such opportunists to use the hard earned democracy to stage a comedy reminiscent of Vioja Mahakamani to demonise heroes like Raila. Mr Nyachae didn’t have to take the role of Ondiek Nyukakuota to demonstrate to us how bitter he is with a Raila presidency. In stead, he should have told Kenyans what PNU intends to do to avoid a scenario like the one of 82. The irony is, he almost drove us back to the same, both in words and deeds.

It seems they have exhausted all the stock of slogans against Raila, and judging by their own utterances, being “cut” does not add, but lessens a man’s courage and wisdom. It is perplexing to see how low great people could stoop just to retain power. Their common interest is now to protect their ill gotten wealth to the chargrine of the poor majority.

Our message is very clear; we want a peaceful and prosperous nation where everyone enjoys the fruits of our labor, irrespective of race, religion, tribe, gender or class. This is the choice of the majority. ODM is the party and Raila is the man to beat. We have a lot of issues to address to Kenyans that we can’t afford a whole day commanding “forces” and throwing missiles at our opponents. PNU MOVES ARE TOO DESPERATE FOR THE INCUMBENT. With friends like Nyachae, Kibaki needs no enemies. ONLY TWO MONTHS LEFT AND THE FUTURE IS ORANGE

  12. nick oremo says:

MWAI KIBAKI WAS APPOINTED FINANCE MINISTER IN 1978 JUST IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DEATH OF MZEE KENYATTA. HE THEN CAME VP FOR OVER 11 YEARS TILL 1991 WHEN HE WAS SACKED BY MOI. AT THE TIME OF HIS SACKING HE HELD A HEALTH PORTFOLIO.

MY QUESTION IS, when kibaki was the VP, his government and Moi detained Raila for fighting for lebaration of kenyans. Was Raila constructing slums while in prison i,e kibera, mathare, korogocho, kwa njega ,mafuta, kwa rueben. this person called kibaki was a finance minister and the vice president during this time, if he cared for poor kenyans, why could they allocate enough money in the budget to cater for the good utilities in the slums. Kibaki was elected the president in 2002. why have they just thought of slum issue now as if there was no kibera slums in 2002. this is a campaign tool which will not be bought by anybody. whether they turn kibera into kileleshwa or loresho, they will still lose the elections dearly coz those are our money looted from the puplic cofer.
WITH THOSE LIVONDO,LUCY KIBAKI SHOULD TELL US THE AGENDA THEY HAVE FOR KENYANS NOT TELLING US ABOUT RAILA. WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT RAILA IS UNCHANGEABLE TAHT HE IS A NATIONALIST, A LEBERATOR, A REFORMIST, 2ND MANDELA OF AFRICA. AND FINALLY RAILA THE MAN IS THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT. GOD BLESS KENYA,GOD BLESS RAILA.
